Terms of service
Last updated October 17, 2026
Draft for legal review. Bracketed items must be confirmed by counsel and the Pivital operations owner before these terms are published as final.
These terms form an agreement between you and Pivital Systems, LLC of Phoenix, Arizona (“Pivital”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of Grace, the family workspaces hosted at addresses such as yourfamily.gracefor.you, and the Grace website. Read them together with our privacy policy.
In plain language
An adult manages the family workspace. You retain ownership of your content. AI can be wrong, so check important answers. The policies below explain your choices and responsibilities; operational secrets are not part of the agreement.
Read our children’s privacy notice, AI transparency notice, security overview, and service-provider disclosure alongside these terms.
1. Who may use Grace
You must be of the age of majority where you live, or have the legal capacity to enter into these terms, to create a family workspace or to pay for a subscription [minimum age to be confirmed by counsel]. A parent creates the workspace and is responsible for the family’s use of Grace.
Children may use Grace only through a child account that a parent creates and manages, and only where the parent allows it.
2. The service
Grace is an AI assistant for families. It answers questions, helps with homework, plans, documents and everyday tasks, and can draw on knowledge bases and documents that a family provides. Features and personas may change over time [terms for changes to paid features to be confirmed by counsel].
3. Family accounts and roles
Each family has one subscription. A family’s account types are:
- Parent, who runs the family workspace, invites members, creates child accounts, sets limits, chooses personas and manages billing.
- Adult member, a relative or helper with their own email address and login.
- Senior, a discounted seat for an older relative, which a parent requests and Pivital approves.
- Child, a managed account created by a parent with a username and password.
A family can have up to two parent accounts. Additional people in the family are added as adult members, seniors or children.
You must keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly if you believe they have been misused. A parent is responsible for activity in child accounts the parent creates, and for the limits and curfews the parent sets.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Grace is sold as a monthly subscription with a price for each seat. Your first invoice contains one parent seat, plus any add-on you choose. Adding a seat is prorated and shows on your next invoice. Removing a seat takes effect at your next renewal. Senior seats are subject to approval by Pivital.
Payments are processed by Stripe under its terms. Prices are shown on the accounts and pricing page at the time you subscribe [tax treatment, currency and price-change notice period to be confirmed by counsel].
[Counsel to confirm: cancellation, refund, and failed-payment terms.]
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the documents, messages, images and other content you give Grace (“your content”). You give Pivital a limited licence to host, store, process and display your content only to provide Grace to your family, to secure it, and to comply with the law.
You are responsible for having the right to share the content you upload, including content that identifies other people.
6. How Grace answers
Grace uses AI models, which can make mistakes, and its answers are not a substitute for professional advice. Grace cites the sources it used when it draws on your documents. Check important answers before you act on them, and do not rely on Grace alone for medical, legal, tax, financial or safety decisions.
7. Safety and child accounts
Messages from child accounts are checked by a safety model before they reach Grace. Parents can read their child’s chats and can set limits. We may restrict or suspend a child account where its use breaches these terms or threatens the safety of any person.
Adult member and senior chats are private, and are not safety-screened. Parents cannot read them.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Grace to:
- break the law, or to harass, threaten, defame or harm anyone;
- generate sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits or endangers a child;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or malware;
- access another family’s workspace, data or accounts, or to try to get around limits, curfews or access controls;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or send automated requests to Grace except through an interface we provide;
- interfere with the security or operation of Grace, or overload it.
We may remove content, restrict access and suspend a family where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
9. Third-party services
Grace relies on third-party providers, including hosting, database, email, payment, search and AI model providers. Some features, such as web search or a family’s own file sync, use services a family enables. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them beyond our obligations to you.
10. Add-ons
11. Ending your use
A parent can remove a member or child account at any time from Parent tools. You can cancel your subscription through the billing area [cancellation mechanics to be confirmed]. When an account or family is deactivated, it is scheduled for deletion as described in our privacy policy.
We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms and do not fix the breach within a reasonable time, or immediately where the breach is serious or harms someone.
12. Our intellectual property
Grace, including its software, design, names and personas, belongs to Pivital or its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use our names, logos or trademarks.
13. Disclaimers
Grace is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that Grace will be uninterrupted, error-free or always accurate.
14. Limitation of liability
[Counsel to draft: the limitation of liability, exclusion of consequential damages, and any cap on the amount payable.]
15. Indemnity
[Counsel to draft: any indemnity you give for your content and your use of Grace.]
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules [governing law, venue, arbitration and class-action terms to be confirmed by counsel].
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. [Counsel to confirm: advance notice of material changes, how families are told, and whether a family may cancel if it does not accept a change.]
