Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about cost, children, privacy and how Grace works.

Who is Grace for?

Families. Grace is built for parents who want their children to learn with AI while staying in charge of how it is used, and for the relatives, helpers and grandparents who share a household. Everyone gets help that knows the family, and parents set the rules.

What does Grace cost?

You pay per seat, in one monthly subscription for the whole family. A parent seat is $20 and includes one free child account. Extra child accounts are $10, adult members are $15, and grandparent (senior) seats are $10 by request. Starting a family costs $20 a month.

Does my child need an email address?

No. A parent creates a child account with just a username and password, and the child signs in with their family and username. Grace does not collect an email address for children.

How are children protected?

Grace is designed with children in mind: parents create and control every child account. Children’s messages and Grace’s replies are checked by a safety model, and if that check is unavailable the message does not go through. Parents can switch AI off, set daily time and usage limits, and set a curfew.

Can I see my child’s chats?

Yes. Parents can read any child’s chats without joining, or join a chat so the child can see you are there. Adults’ chats are private: parents cannot read an adult member’s or a senior’s chats, and nobody can read a parent’s.

What are personas?

A persona is an assistant with its own style. Grace, The Planner and The Professor are included. Parents choose who may use each one.

How do Web Access and Creative Skills work?

Web Access adds web search with sources. Creative Skills adds image and video creation. Each package is $8 per family per month, or an administrator can grant access at no charge. In Parent tools → Account → Packages, buy a package and turn on its switch, or turn on one that has been granted. Switches stay disabled when access is unavailable. Turning a switch off pauses use; cancel the paid package separately to stop billing and credit unused time.

How do grandparents and other relatives join?

Relatives with an email address join as adult members. For grandparents there is a senior seat at $10 a month: a parent sends a request from the Family members page and a Grace administrator approves it.

Who can see our family’s data?

Your chats, documents and settings belong to your family workspace and are visible only to its members, plus anyone you choose to share with. Parent insight reports are opt-in, cover only children’s chats, and are deleted after 60 days. Replies are written by third-party AI model providers, and the privacy policy lists how your data is handled. You can export your account data.

Can we talk to Grace out loud?

Yes, at no extra cost. Tap the microphone to dictate a message; the recording is turned into text and then deleted, never stored. Tap Read it to me on any reply and your device’s built-in voice reads it aloud.

Can Grace use our own documents?

Yes. Parents build family knowledge bases from school forms, recipes, manuals and notes. Grace answers from them and shows numbered sources so you can open the exact document it used.

Can we use our own name, logo or domain?

Every family gets its own address, such as yourfamily.gracefor.you. Parents can add the family logo and colors, and can connect their own domain from the Parent tools.

What happens when we add or remove a member?

Seats update automatically. Adding someone is prorated and shows on your next invoice, and removing someone takes effect at your next renewal. You never buy seats ahead of time. Parents manage the plan, or cancel it, from the Account page, which opens Stripe’s secure customer portal.
